The Makai Mahogany Series
The Mahogany Series is our most popular and affordable of the Makai series we offer making them the ideal ukulele for the beginner. They are the perfect size for children, easy to hold and carry and make great gifts. You can take them to the beach, or just play by yourself for your listening enjoyment. They are durable and will bring many years of musical enjoyment.

Mahogany Tonewood
These quality-crafted Makai ukuleles are made from Mahogany. Mahogany is a medium density wood that is typically reddish in color. Mahogany ukuleles generally produce tones that are warm and bright without too much emphasis on either end of the tonal spectrum. Mahogany is generally considered as the prime tonewood.
Quality Throughout
All the ukuleles in the
Mahogany Series are made from a special Mahogany laminate especially designed for ukuleles. This is not the cheap plywood with scrap wood glued in the middle. Their durability makes them an excellent choice allowing for the required thinness to produce a louder sound and are not vulnerable to grain splits. These quality-constructed ukuleles are very popular, have exceptional sound quality and are a great value.
